Hi, Grant, and welcome to FSM. The old tools come in handy. Like shermanfreak said, it may not necessariy be cheaper than R/C if yu REALLY superdetail some kits :) It's a lot of fun and better than a sharp stick in the eye, though! - Ed :)

Welcome to FSM Grant and welcome back to the hobby. The old skills will soon return to you.
I'm not so sure sometimes if it's cheaper or not, check out the prices of some of those aftermarket kits.
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

Hello Plastic model Comrades!
I like so many are getting back into the plastic model fun Smile [:)]
I have been building plastics from around age 6 but for the last 12 years ive been building 1/4 scale RC planes.

Ive always been a modeler and still have some of my old plastic kits, YEA i did not get rid of the old modeling tools or kits Wink [;)]

Now at age 42 think all pickup the old hobby that was so rewarding and fun all rolled up into one. The best part is its a lot cheaper than RC Tongue [:P].

Looking forward to learning all the new tricks im sure that have been learned over my years away from plastics.

Keep your powder dry ! [:0]
