Welcome to the Forums Mike Sign - Welcome [#welcome] & welcome back to the hobby.  Kits & supplies can be expensive, but on a cost per hour of enjoyment the hobby is cheaper than most.  You might want to hook up with a member using the screen name Pixelater.  He shares your position as a handicapped, unemployed modeler, but has turned his hobby into a business.

Regards,  Rick

Howdy from Lynchburg Va. I am Mike, formerly of Houston Tx (and wishing I could escape this place BACK to Houston).Sad [:(]

I am getting back into modeling after being away from it for many years. I am going to major in Israel Defence Forces (IDF/IAF) but who knows, I might find something else to intrigue me.

I do have a few Star Trek kits made by Polar Lights to build.

I am handicapped and unemployed so I have a lot of free time to model. The problem is one I am sure we all have, too many models, not enough money. SSI helps but it is not enough to go beyond the bills, the rent, the food and whatever necessities of life there are, such as the occasional medication.

Somehow I do not remember models and all the supplies being so expensive. HMMM maybe I should just take the money and fold it into models Big Smile [:D] It would probably be cheaper in the long run. But it would be less fun.

Well I hope this gets things started. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask..

happy holidays to all and may your models all look as good, if not better than, the prototype.
