An Old Fart in Indiana
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, December 19, 2005 4:19 AM

Hi all, Thought I would introduce myself. I live just outside of Trafalgar Indiana. Been modeling since I was 8 (now 53) and always 1/48 aircraft..mostly Axis stuff. This has been ( as I'm sure it is for others) an on/off  hobby for me...to many hobbies, never enough time.

A few years ago after my 8th grandchild was born, I decided to get back into the thick of things and started posting some articles on Hyperscale. Just small esoteric stuff.

As you may notice from my handle I have a fondness for Italian a/c, especially the Serie 5 (Fiat G.55, Macchi 205, Reggiane RE.2005). A while back I posted a link here on FSM for a very nice Walkaround on the GAVS restored Fiat G.55 (ex G.59) and looks like a few of you found it interesting.

I'm currently working up for new build/article on the 1/48 resin Fiat G.55 kits ( RCR, Vintage and Italian Kits) and when done I'll post it and hopfully some of you will find it interesting.

Well, thats bout it from me. Feel free to drop me a line.

Thanks,

Mike

Welcome to the Forums Mike Sign - Welcome [#welcome].  I share your interest in 1/48 WWII aircraft & your Senior Citizen status.  I only have 3 Grandkids at the moment, but that's enough to spoil Smile [:)].

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums fellow hoosier! I am from Greencastle myself. Considering that we talk to people from all over the world on here, we are neighbors. Trafalgor isn't that far away from me. Hope you find everything you need, and if you don't just ask Wink [;)]

Welcome to FSM Mike, I must say you have a very specific area of interest and if ever I need info on Italian aircraft I'll know where to go.

Cheers

Thanks for all the howdy's guys. Much appreciated.

Aside from my Italian a/c interest, I also into late war LW and early/mid war French ( especially Vichy) and late war Japanese a/c. Have tons-o-info on this as well and am glade to help anyone with their projects.

Look forward to talking to you all.
