I am familiar with Tamiya's quality, i have built a couple of their car models in the past. I really want to try the T72, but if they are as hard as you have said i will get a slightly easier kit to wet my pallet:)

I love tanks but do not know a whole lot about them, also being unemployed from a car accident leaves me with money issues. As soon as i can afford to go looking for a model by god i will:)
Unless someone have a tank model they will donte...HAHAHAH

J/k anywho thanks for the ideas and advice i will heed it!!

Pick up a Tamiya kit for your first piece of armour. They have some of the best engineered kits on the market. Their Panther G's, T-34 and of course the best of all, The Sherman, are all great for the first time armour builder. If your tastes don't run towards W.W.II, still stay with Tamiya but pick up one of their newer products. Tamiya's a little more expensive but worth the extra dollars in stress relief. Dragon also makes some great kits but the indy tracks will cause great pain to an armour first - timer.

LOL wingy flying things...HAHAHAHAH

I have been that route...there cool and all but not really my thing...i love tanks.
Any suggestions on where i can find a Marder or a Flak panzer? Maybe i can do a dio of a flakpanzer shooting down a wingy flying thing!

Shermanfreak is right, armor is addictive. you should start with something easy, like a Marder or a flakpanzer or an armored car. A true panzer tank will be more challenging and will need more work, especially a tiger Sleepy [|)] or king tiger Dead [xx(]. I just hope that you don't go to the dark side (wingy-flying-things)Angry [:(!]

Welcome to FSM Horus. Be careful about building your first armour piece, you may never go back to building other kits. See you around the Armour Forum.

Hello all!
I am no stranger to modeling but I am new on here so i wanted to introduce myself and let you all know what i like to model and all.:)

I started models at a very young age mainly snap together ..but my frist real model was the U.S.S Constitution....the BIG one they made way back. (i have always seemed to get models way past my ability..even then...lol) When it was done(except for the rigging...i was moving it to the cellar for safe kepping when i tripped and it sailed it's way down my cellar steps...that ended that model....i was crushed:(

After many weeks of dissapointment i picked up a B52 bomber and completed it in only a few days. I went on to make other models (alot of cars, a Mig 29(still displayed in my HS today) and even another boat.

Today i deal with mainly cars, but i am getting into the Military Armor and I am trying to decide on my first tank to build.
I have narrowed it down to either a Russian T-72M1 or a Panzer
I wish to include this tank in a dio...but it a bit off...*need the tank first so i can plan appropriately:)

Anywho i will post a pice of a few of my current models i have here. I am no master and I know i will lean a great deal from the people on this site:)

Thanks all
