Nw to forum
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, February 5, 2006 10:14 AM

I am new to the forum but have been modeling since the forties when we had to carve and sand wooden models.    Did this for a few years until high school and the service  (U S Navy).    Started plastic modeling about 30 years ago with a group of sixth graders that I was teaching   Retired after 35 years of teaching.   Now I volunteer teaching science and advising 30+ 3rd through 5th graders in a nearby elementary school.  Once a teacher always a teacher.   Working with the kids keeps me young and sometimes foolish.

Some of the people here still do the wooden models. That's a real skill!

So long folks!

Welcome.  Have a look at some of the work done by a memebr knwon as "solid".  All wood all the time... nice stuff.
