I have been doing modeling once back in the 90s, but have quit for more than 13 years.
But now I have decide to go back to my old hobby; building tanks and diorama.
Looks like today is quite different than way back then, now there are
many players in the modeling business, beside the old boys like Tamiya,
Hasegawa, Monogram, and Revell.
What surprises me is that when I entered to this huge hobby store to
pick up a 1:35 Tamiya tank, I was told by the store manager that Tamiya
has stopped producing 1:35 scale military stuff. I have been a Tamiya
fans for quite sometime and find this rather disturbing. The store
manager brags quite extensive about Dragon products and he claim that
Dragon basically kicks Tamiya in military model by far in every category. Oh, well so much for missing 13 years in this hobby.
