Smile [:)]

Hi!

I've been building models since I was six, when my mother started me on some Renwal snap-together cars. I've built aircraft, ships, a balsa SE 5 (best winter I have had!), and Aurora monsters. At age 15, when I was in Japan, I discovered Tamiya armor, and have been a "tread head" since. I do WW II, mostly German, including everything they could steal, but I also do an occasional American under the original owners.

I also do figures, been doing this since age 9 (the old Strombecker sets). I do American Civil War, Napoleonics, and some WW II (people to stuff into a turret). I've also done some fantasy, this courtesy of the Dark Heaven paint kits (I didn't know how to paint figures in acrylics, I've since gone on to Andrea).

When I'm not modelling, I also do leatherwork and take very long walks, as well as tape old movies (especially silents) off the telly. I am also three weeks from earning my MBA. I currently work as an independent investment portfolio manager, and I am currently writing two business e-books. After graduation, I'd also like to start a cottage industry aftermarket part company (heck, with all the stuff I cast for myself, I might as well start selling it!).

Very happy to be here, and I am glad to meet you all! Sign - Welcome [#welcome]
