Greetings everyone, I'm new here but not new to modeling. I have been modeling since about age 8 with only a break for about 10 years after I was 25. While serving in the armed services I found no better way to keep busy in my off time or on a float than to build models. It wasn't until after I got married and had children that I chose to stop for a while until they were old enough to look into my eyes and understand the words "Don't Touch!"Black Eye [B)]..lol (just kidding) I guess I just got caught up doing other things and forgot how much I really enjoyed the hobby.
My model kits were generally consisted of modern aircraft as I was an "airwinger" in the Corps and was around those birds all the time. Lately I have persued some Armor kits, which I found somewhat more challenging than I expected and 1/700 ships, which I am currently enjoying much more than I did as a young kid.
From what I have read everyone here seems to be great people and I look forward to participating in other topics.Big Smile [:D]
By the way if anyone knows of a vendor that has a CH-53E 1/35-1/48 scale KIT AVAILABLE, DO TELL I'm searching hi and low for one.

Welcome to FSM Rocb1. Quite a few of us here have been through the "wait for the kids to grow up a bit before we build again" phase.
Hope you enjoy the forums.
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert
