Hey Ya'll,

I'm not exactly new here but I didn't fill this out when I signed up so I thought I might finally do it.

Hello, my name is Tracy and I build plastic models. The first model I ever built was a monogram F6F Hellcat, it was during the summer and my dad wanted me out of his hair I suppose so he took me down to one of the 5-dime stores in town and bought me that and a tube of glue. Well a couple of hours later I had a hellcat and a life long obsession.

About the time I was turning 14 my dad wanted to know why I wasted all my money on those darned things I didn't have an answer but kept on building. I didn't care if it was plastic I usually built it. Airfix Tiger Moths, Revell F2 Brewster Buffalo, Monogram 1/48 everything, Aurora Panther, Hawk Skyray AMT 70 stepside pick up, battle damaged IMC kits, Lindberg all kinds of stuff one a week for 15 years then I had to slow down girls came into the picture but I never stopped.

I'm 46 now and still get jazzed over new kits coming out and still buying them, the building is awful slow. Got really slow during my 11 years in the Navy, then when my son and daughter were born but I've not given up yet. I build just about anything that strikes my fancy but mostly armor and aircraft. Modeling is getting better everyday I just hope I can afford to keep up with it pricewise nowadays.

I think I'm a fair modeler for the most part with moments of suprising artistry but usually fair. I've gone through the bout with AMS and have started taking kits as the come for the most part. I puts the fun back into building. That's about it I guess.

Tracy
