Thanks for the response. We all still want to see your work, so don't worry about your ability. It's better than you think.

Hi Andy!

Thanks for the welcome! Well, my folks decided to move to greener pastures (my dad had a job opportunity here then) in 1993, I was 11 then, so they took me with, and we've been here ever since.

As for seeing my work... Well, after reading about and seeing fotos of what people in this forum do with models, it makes my stuff look like child's play. Blush [:I] But what the heck! Smile [:)] I'll try posting my latest project (Academy 1/48 Bf-109D) when it's done.

Hello from South Africa
Posted by Yura K on Monday, May 22, 2006 1:29 PM

Hi all! Thought I'd introduce myself...

My name is Yura, I currently live in Cape Town, South Africa, but I'm originally, from St, Petersburg, Russia. I'm a relative newcomer to modelling (only have 6 models behind me, currently finishing the 7th one). I build mostly in 1/48 scale airplanes and love the World War 2 theme, particularly the German Luftwaffe machines (even though they have some of the omst complex camouflage themes around Smile [:)] ). I'm currently finishing an Academy Bf-109D of the Spanish Civil War...
