Back into the hobby...
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, August 13, 2003 3:52 PM
Hi everyone,

I'm back into the hobby after a few years off. (no time. no space, etc..) Now I want to give armor modeling a try. So I've bought brand new supplies and a Tamiya kit of the M3 Stuart. I plan on building it straight from the box and was wondering if you guys had any advise on the kit, Like how to make those vinyl tracks look saggy, etc...

Thanks in advance

Hello, flippin-c, welcome to the forum. I'm an aircraft modeler myself, but I'm sure you can get help on the armor pages. Welcome back to the hobby !

Welcome to FSM flipin-c and welcome back to the hobby. Nice thing about the Stuart ... no track sag to worry about. They stayed tight on them much like the Sherman. as far as build goes, it is one of tamiyas older kits but is still a very easy build. The tracks themselves are inaccurate as they have the end connectors in line with the track shoe instead of staggered between shoes. But all in all a nice little kit to work with.
See you around the Armour Forum
