Hi Highlander, from one scot to another (ancestral), you're spot on! It is a T6 Harvard as it is known in South Africa. You'll notice my pic is the T6 adorned in SA training colours. I myself am a figure builder but do dabble a bit now and then in planes and armour. You can check out my posts in the figure category! I have the 1/48 th scale Ocidental kit of the T6 Harvard which I am planning to do in SA colours. I will keep you posted!

Cheers, Arthur

It is a beautiful aircraft even if it is not as pretty as some of the others. Glad to meet someone from the Land Down Under.

Sounds familiar, I have a 1/48th F-105 ready for paint and I have an F4U-5, an F-16, T-6 and a Spitfire in various stages of building. I just cannot concentrate on one kit at time.

Although I have been reading Fine Scale Modeler for years this is my first time participating in a forum. As a teen ager back in the sixties I enjoyed building ships, then I took a leave of absense from the hobby to serve with the Army. I came back to the hooby around 1980 and have been building ever since. My main interest is aircraft and although I enjoy building all types my favorite subjects are Naval and Marine aircraft, especially the F4U Corsair.
