You're not alone in that situation.  I'm a new reborn modeler since last spring and I won't tell you how much I spent in that hobby so far.

You'll have to buy a ton of tools and prepare some shelf space.  Welcome to the forum, you'll find usefull tips and advice down here.  Everyone is willing to help at anytime.  I lerned alot in the past months and I'm still learning.

It's always a pleasure to have newbies.

No matter where you go ....... there you are.

My second childhood!

Since I've got two modeling age boys of my own, now I have an excuse to get back into it myself.

I'm currently helping my boys on a couple of projects after getting inspired at a recent commemorative airshow. Brings back fond memories of my modeling days 40 years ago. Seems like yesterday.

Now I have (another) excuse to not grow up:

"... better get a couple of new models dear, er, for the boys, of course. ahem."

Good clean fun! (if you don't count the paint & glue)

Sure nice have a resouce here at finescale forums to bale me out of trouble.
