hello people! im a newb to building models never thought about doing it much when i was younger.just had a baby and i would like to start building some military models like ww2 stuff tanks planes jeeps and such for my son.any help and suggestions on what size and brand is good for beginners... (dont want any snap together stuff)

to the forums! Pull up a keyboard and stay a while.

I'll leave it to the armor experts on first kit suggestions. But you can't go wrong with Revell for WWII warbirds in 1/48. The kits are inexpensive, easy to build and while they aren't the most accurate in the world you can build two or three for the price of one "good" kit.

For WWII tanks, jeeps and other armored vehicles, Tamiya in 1/35 scale happens to be the best and easy to build, however it is bit pricy compared to others. You can go with Academy 1/35 kits, which are relatively inexpensive and some of their old kits are copies of Tamiya kits. If you want some thing smaller, then you can go with 1/72 scale armored vehicle kits from Hasegawa, DML/Dragon or Revell. These kits are not that expensive and relatively easy to build as well.
