A new model-only hobby shop just opened last week in north Dallas.   No RC, no trains, no puzzles, no rockets, no Thomas the Tank Engine, none of the typical gack found in most hobby shops.   Its called Hobby Annex and is on Preston between LBJ and the Bush tollway.  I want to say its the 17200 block - don't have the exact address or phone number handy.

Edit =>     Address is 17062 Preston Rd.  It is on the right side of the road if you are northbound on Preston.   It is in a corner suite in a L-shaped strip shopping center.    Phone is 972 380 8900

It's on the "list" now. Thanks.

Most of the Ma 'n Pa places are gone, best I can tell. I hit shows/contests, prowl like crazy......

Still lots of fun, need to drop in on local  IPMS when poss.

Enjoy WIP stuff, need to get a digital cam, share.

Excuse the brevity, working on wife's laptop,

Hey another Texan. When I lived in the DFW area, there were some small shops in the surrounding cities. Mesquite, Garland, Arlington etc. Get out that giant phone book and look around. And then there's always Hobby Lobby. And they usually have a 40% off coupon for any one item in the store you can print from the internet off their website.

   Welcome.

Finally checked out the website, very nice.

My main interests are 1/35 scale and 1/24 scale armor, usually Allied/NATO stuff, with some weird stuff thrown in now and then to break the monotony. I like a good out-of-the-box build but usually do some minor to major kit bashing, and link-to-link drives me nuts, except for AFV Club's glueless stuff.

I built a lot 'til I got my driver's license, then came back to it about ten years ago, and am more hooked now than ever. I do miss the old hobby shops, all we've got in the area (Dallas) are chain stores.....
