Hi! From northern MN
Posted by 65ss on Saturday, September 30, 2006 10:11 PM
I thought I would introduce myself as I've been lurking in the background reading everyones posts for the last year.Im getting back into the hobby after taking about twenty years off for the usual reasons, two marriages , kids, and jobs. I mainly like to model armor vehicles. I try and do an auto every now and then but when Im done they look just like a model car. When Im not working, remodeling my house, or working on my latest modeling project, I have my 65 Impala SS I'm restoring. I've enjoyed reading everyones posts the last year, and Im sure I'll continue to be amazed by the talant of the modelers on this form.

I'm working on a model of a 64 Impala SS. I was planning on using Bare Metal Foil to enhance the chrome, but am now staring at the still unfinished kit thinking "Wow, there sure is a lot of chrome!" There sure were some gorgeous looking cars in the 60s.

So long folks!

Thanks I agree, I was doing a 65 ss spent about a week and a half priming and sanding the body, ordered paint to match the color of my car from model car world, and as I was putting the final wet coat of paint on it, it feel off my make shift stand and laned roof first onto the floor.Sad [:(]
