Newby, of sorts....
Hello,
I'm a newby to the forum. I've been building, off and on, scale models since I was about 7. That was 1973, and the kit was a Ford coupe hot rod. I couldn't tell you the maker, but I can tell you, it probably looked like a mess when I finished with it. None the less, I was as proud as a peacock.
These days, I'm primarily interested in WWII fighters in 1/32 scale. I also like WWII armor.
The reason that I joined the forum was because of a walk down memory lane with a friend. It reminded me of all the kits that I had built (or attempted to build) growing up in the 70's. In the processes, I also remembered a club periodical, published by Revell. It usually included a short story that featured an evil-doer named, oddly enough, Monty Graham. Does anyone remember the publication? Its nice to see that Monty and Revell have reconciled.
Right now, my medelling project is a 1:1 scale workshop with 120 square feet of climate controlled workspace. I just passed the framing inspection, and I'm about to wrap it up in the next few weeks. My wife even looks forward to me finishing the project.
I look forward to reading and contributing to this forum.
