Back after too long an absence.
Posted by chopperfan on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 7:14 PM

Well, I finally made it back after being gone entirely too long.

I joined the real world and have cable modem. (I wouldn't have it anyother way now!)

The only down side to all this is that I'll have a lot more time for the hobby I love.  The doctor declared me 100% disabled, today.

Now, I ain't asking for pity or sympathy, I brought this on myself.  And in the process, I found the Great Physician.  Now, I know we're not suppose to discuss these matters on this site.  But, I'm not forcing my belief on anyone, just saying how great it makes me feel.  And if I have insulted anyone for this I apologise.  I just want everyone to know how great it feels to be back.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.  It's great to be back.

As far as any current projects go, I am kinda in limbo until I get my bench set back up.  We recently moved and everything is still kinda, for lack of a better descriptor, screwed up around here!  Before the move I had started on a 1/48 AMT S-3 Viking being converted to an Aero-Union fire bomber.  I'm going to try and complete that as soon as I get everything back in order.

Hey espins?  How are things at High Sierra Hobbys?  I sure miss going in there.  THAT is a hobby shop without any doubts.

Catch y'all later.

Yep.  When I lived in Tahoe, I would make a run to Reno every pay day.

Had to take the little lady to the Atlantis buffet and, son of a gun, we would invariably drive right past the little shopping center that housed High Sierra!  AND!!  No matter how hard I fought it the darn car would turn right into the drive and die!!!!  It wouldn't start again until I had gone inside and, at least, looked around. Whistling [:-^]

I thought things have been quiet lately.  Good things don't always last forever so I guess I don't have any choice but to welcome you back. Wink [;)]

Thanks, David.  It's good to see you back and posting, also.

As far as my physical condition?  I feel fine but, the doctor says otherwise.  Will have to wait and see what social security has to say.
