Hello from Oklahoma
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, September 6, 2003 9:06 AM

Hello everyone, My name is Steve and I live in Oklahoma. I am an airline pilot based at Dallas-Ft. Worth. I build aircraft WWII to present. Occasionally I will build armor.

I just got back into building models after a year of not being able to (no time). My wife and I built a house and moved back to Oklahoma City (much cheaper here than DFW and less crowded! Plus all of our family is here.) and I finally was able to build myself a work bench so that I can build and airbrush models. So now that I have myself set up again it is time to get back to modeling.

I am glad to see the forums here. I have been getting FSM for 3 years now and it is a great magazine.

Hopefully I can come up with a masterpiece. Seems like there is always something that goes wrong when I am building a model. I am working on an A-4C Skyhawk right now. I got a great paint job airbrushing acrylics (first time). I was really happy with it then somehow I got red enamel paint on one of the intakes. I used thinner and tried to scrape it off with a knife but it is still there. Ahhhh the joys of modeling. Its kind of like golf, you have that one great shot that keeps you coming back for more. Its frustrating but I love it.
