Hi Mark,

I scratchbuilt a few space probes in the past, my best being a 1/72 Voyager 2. Loved every minute of building it but I find that the info is often scarce, and pictures of the probes being built on Earth often show nothing close to what the craft looks like in space...

Welcome to those forums and let us know what you are working on.

Hi Mark ...

May I be one of the first here to welcome you back to the hobby !!! and a big THANK YOU for your service to our country in the USAF, hope you enjoy your retirement.

I think this community forum is going to be great ... and good luck with your scratch building of the satellite model.

Hello,
First, I'm returning to modeling after some twenty years...

I'm a retired USAF Master Sergeant and, oddly enough, I like to build WWII aircraft. I'm especially interested in building odd, weird-looking, aircraft. Of course those models are difficult to find. Any tips are appreciated.

While in the Air Force I specialized in Satellite Communications and I'm currently building a model from scratch. But, if anyone else has experience building satellite models, please contact me (markfannin2001@yahoo.com).

As I mentioned, I'm returning the to hobby since I retired and I'm a novice but I am determined to build my skill and make this a life long, enjoyable, hobby.

Thanks,
Mark Fannin
