Hi
Posted by Fly-n-hi on Thursday, January 4, 2007 2:16 PM

How's it going?

After taking a long 13 year break from modeling I've decided to get back into it.  I built many models back in Junior High and High School, up until I was 17.  Now I'm 30.  The last model I built was a Hasagawa F-20.

Back when I built a lot I entered in local and state competitions and did fairly well (I placed first in the AZ state fair on a couple of occasions).  For whatever reason I just lost interest.  Maybe I got burnout or something.

I've been lurking around this site for a few weeks now but I never posted because all my questions were easily answered by using the search feature.  Man, alot of new techniques have been developed in the last 13 years!

I have 10 or 12 models NIB just sitting in my closet.  One of those models is the Halcyon 1/72 Dropship from "Aliens".  While thumbing through the latest FSM at the local hobby shop I saw the article on the Dropship and was inspired to get back in the game.  So here I am.  Maybe I'll take some pics and post them here.

I guess I'll be seein' ya'll in the forums.

Later.
