Posted by Anonymous on Monday, January 8, 2007 12:58 PM

just wanted to introduce myself.

my name is john and i am just beginning this hobby im thinking about doing WW2 Dioramas. i am not new to painting or modeling however. i have played warhammer 40k and painted and modeled atleast 60 models and 2 vehicles. they probably dont take as long as these models though. anyway, i cant wait to start.

i also had a few questions

is 1:18 scale a good scale to start at?

and

where can i buy modles online i dont have a local hobby shop.

thanks so much

john

Welcome! 1:18? That is really big and rather expensive. 1:35 is common for Armor and figures, 1:48 is common for aircraft and 1:72 is common for Aircraft and armor both.  One of these is probably a good place to start. 1:72 would be like working on 25mm minis.
