Thanks, Graham! Anything would be great. I do genealogy and am trying to track veteran's records going back to at least the Civil War (both sides), including a couple from the Indian Wars, WW2, and Korea.  I've got a great Uncle I can't prove existed, no birth or death certificate, no veteran's or prison records. (Thanks Uncle Duke...)

He was born and discharged in Middletown, Ohio if that helps.

CB you would be amazed at what I can find.  I will do my best to find out for you and I will get back to you.  Give me a few days to do some searching and I can let you know.  Again I look forward to talking to you soon.

Thanks for the offer Graham, but all I have is that he was discharged by the Army on Jan. 7, 1946 and was a tail gunner.  His name was Harold Lloyd Wells and he would have turned 18 in '43 though he could have lied and enlisted earlier.  He didn't talk about it.  All 4 of my mom's dad's brother served and I don't have many specifics for any of them.

CB, if you give me his name and when he served I might be able to help.  If it was WWII I need to know the Theatre.  Get back to me and let me know.  You can e-mail me at Grahamskis@hotmail.com.

Welcome!  What a neat project.  I'd like to figure out which plane my late great uncle was a tail gunner on and build it.

Hello From Colorado And A Returning Modeller After Almost 20 Years
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 8:37 PM
Hello from Denver Colorado.  My name is Graham Moran.  I am a returning modeller after 20 years.  I am trying to learn as much as I can due to the fact that I have been out for far to long.  I am returning with a major project on my plate of plans.  What might that be you ask?  My grandfather was a squadron leader leader in the 8th Army Air Corp, The 492nd Bomb Group, and the 856th Bomb Squadron.  The bomb squadron is having a reunion this summer so I decided that I would build a replica of his B-24-J.  I have found all the information that I needed but I now need to find a place to get the nose art printed in decal form.  I would appreciate any and all help that anyone can give me.  I look forward to talking to you all and I am willing to chat whenever we can.
