Interested in World War II aircraft
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, January 12, 2007 6:49 PM

Greetings,

A recent visit to the Air Force museum in Dayton stoked my long-standing fascination with the WWII USAAF.  I had three uncles, each flying a different plane during the War.

Any any rate, this seems to be a big hobby, but I plan to start a little at a time.   I'm a firm believer in saving my money and doing the research for quality products rather than hurriedly buying "low-quality".  If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

I'll resort to the search engine before I start posting questions, being pretty familiar with forum etiquette in that regard.

The USAF Museum is a great place, isn't it? Been there a few times myself, and I never tire of it. This is a great place too. Lots of excellent modelers here who share your interest. Nice to have you aboard.

Don't forget to join your local IMPS chapter!  I'm not affiliated with IPMS leadership, and have only been a member for about 5 years, but our monthly meetings teach me so much, I learn great tips, and receive wonderful support from my fellow modelers.  A very quick way to find out what's hot, and what's not.

Good luck and welcome back!
