Self Introduction

I have recently begun to try modeling again after a very long absence. I used to model aircraft when all you could buy was balsa and tissue paper covered models and on occasion Momgram would come out with a model that had a few plastic parts on it. Now I am struggling to master techniques of working with all plastic models that are far more detailed than those I used to do.

After spending 36 years in the Army I am interested in progressing to the point of building dioramas of all of the situations I observed during my years of service. These include Special Forces to Landing Craft operations but from the Infantry view point.

If I post something that seems a little inane please bear with me, I have found that there is a pretty steep learning curve with the new materials.
