Trouble with Academy M36 Jackson
Posted by tellis on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 9:34 PM
Long time modeler and FSM subscriber but new to the forum. I am working on an Academy M36 jackson TD. The flexible tracks came very misshaped and are unusable. I have been to their website but had no luck finding a way to contact the company. Any suggestions?

Academy is own by MRC (Model Rectifier Corporation) and I already sent 4 emails to them to get a replacement for a canopy and they never even answered me.

Good luck.

I don't know if that would help but you might be able to reshape the tracks by using boiling water.

No matter where you go ....... there you are.

Try this e-mail address  mrcsupport@modelrectifier.com

I sent them an e-mail on Sunday evening and when I checked my mail Monday morning at 8:30 I had a very curtious reply from Carol, at MRC, telling me exactly what I had to do.  So now the ball is in my court, as they say.

Oh and by the way......Sign - Welcome [#welcome]

In the mean time, pin the track sections to a piece of cardboard, one dress maker pin on each end, stretch them just a bit before securing, then hit them with a hair dryer until they reform to the desired shape. be careful not to melt them. use multiple passes.
