A rotorhead from Cajun Country
Posted by rotorwash on Sunday, January 21, 2007 9:55 AM

Hello,

My name is Ray Wilhite.  I am 34, live in Denham Springs, La  and have just picked up modelling again after a 20+ year hiatus.  My primary interest is the Uh-1 huey and its many armed variants that were used in Vietnam.  My interest in the subject was generated by ny dad who was an armorer and doorgunner with the 190th AHC in Ben Hoa from '68-'69.   I have been researching Uh-1's for about a year now (reading and picking my dad's brain) and reading the helicopter forum regularly.  I just joined the Baton rouge Scale Modelers Club and I guess it's time to see if I can get this bird off the ground.  I hope to hear from you guys regularly as I run into modelling conundrums.

            Thanks,

                    Ray

Hey man, greetings from the abyss. I'm here in Slidell. How are the hobby shops in Denham Springs/Baton Rouge? They are virtually non existant in Slidell. Good luck with the Huey research.

Claude,

We have one hobby shop that is way overpriced in my opinion.  But that's what e-bay's for!
