New Guy

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to sign on and say hello. I've never done this before so I hope I get it right. I've been building models for over 20 years. So far I'm not too good, but I have quite a collection of unbuilt kits. I like 1/ 35th armor, 1/ 48th aircraft and waterline ships. I tend to focus on Soviet armor and aircraft but build anything else for a change of pace.

Welcome to the forum, sparker ! There's LOTS of useful information here, and people are all too willing to help.
I'm also a 1/48 aircraft guy (WW II) I have a LaGG 3, & some Yaks up on the aircraft pages, if you're interested.
HAVE FUN IN THE FORUMS !

Welcome to the nut farm...er....the forum family! It's always great to have another modeler show up from the "dark side" (the armor group). Hope you'll enjoy the fourm, and with 20 years of modelling, your experiences will be appreciated. Have you built the new Tamiya T55 yet?

Howdy Sparker!!

If you're thinking you're going to get it right the first time, better get ready for a disappointment. Been trying for years and I'm still not there...

Then again, there's a couple of guys I know that have been able to build great models right out of the chute. Ticks me off...really...

Big Smile [:D] Hope you enjoy the forums. Feel free to add comments as you see fit...

Thanks for the welcoming me to the nut farm! It doesn't seem to bad. I've not had a chance to build the new Tamiya T-55. I think my wife got the hint that I want it for C-Mas this year. I'm currently working on a Tamiya KV-2. It shouldn't take too long since there's not a lot there. It's the painting (airbrushing) thing that always gives me the most trouble. Is it better to hand paint or airbrush on a whitewash camo scheme?
