I'm New Here, Too
Posted by flynavy1958 on Sunday, February 11, 2007 4:37 PM

Hi fellas,

Just signed on yesterday.  Despite my moniker for this forum, I'm interested in all aviation of the early Cold War, especially less popular subjects.  (i.e. do we really need the F-4 in yet another paint scheme, when we don't have nearly enough A-3s or  F-94s?)

I also am interested in WW2 ship dioramas.  Have always wanted to replicate the famous "Murderer's Row" photo of 5 Essex class carriers, and throw in a couple destroyers, a Liberty ship, and a battleship for good measure.

But I'm stargazing here.  I'm still very new, after a couple decades away doing things like college, grad school, being married, and landing a job.

Hello, New rookie on the scene
Posted by Shogun on Sunday, February 11, 2007 1:39 PM

Hello,

My name is Travis Parker, I have been modeling off and on for 12 years, but have never really been advanced beyond rookie status.  I am really looking forward to taking my modeling to the next level, by learning to use an airbrush (I have been using spray enamel for most projects) learning some weathering techniues and other more advanced skills.

I love WWII aircraft but all airplane models interest me in general.  I have really been inspired by all the posts I have viewed and the pictures I have seen from this community so I am looking forward to learning more.  I just hope sometime soon I can contribute to the learning and infromation sharing soon.

Travis
