Oooo! New forum!!!
Posted by Prince of Styrene II on Monday, September 15, 2003 8:20 PM
Hey all! I was referred here by everyone's friend, papa-echo-64. Better known as Fluke to some on other BBs. I look forward to getting to know all the strangers here! Wink [;)]

I'm mostly a sci-fi hardward geek, but I do love the occasional plane & car kits, if the subject moves me, & have quite a few in the arsenal in the closet. Talk to you soon. Cool [8D]

Let me the first to welcome you here, Prince. I am basically now an armour fan (well with some planes and helos) but I am sure you can find a place in the sci-fi dept.

Glad to have you around.

Thanks for the greetings, guys!

Dwight- I'm interested in starting a helo project myself, & papa-echo-64 directed me here. Sci-fi may be my stomping ground, but you can be sure that I'll be lurking around the other forums as well. There's always something to to be learned from a fellow builder. Check the helicopter forum in a few minutes & see if you can help me out!
shermanfreak- Hmmmm... wonder what you like to build?Wink [;)] The moniker has a whole backstory to it. I never picked it out, actually. If you've hung out on Hobbytalk's Polar Lights board several years ago, you might know of the story.
Keyworth- I'm sure I will! It's always good to hang out with fellow styrene junkies! Big Smile [:D]

Erock68- In fact I do have an armor kit! It's a 1/35 German Sd.kfz.250/9 by Tamiya. I've always loved the half-tracks. If I ever get the courage to do it justice, you can be sure that I'll be posting.Smile [:)]
I have to say that out of all of the types of builders, I admire the armor guys the most. The detail that you guys get on those kits can be astounding! [:0]
There's a joke in here somewhere with you refering to yourselves as "tread heads", & me liking the half-tracks... A half-wit maybe? Tongue [:P]

I hope you've got some pics of the sci-fi stuff!! I love to see it, but unfortunately don't build very much of it.

Looking forward to future discussions!!

Got quite a few actually, Murray! I always take in-progress shots for my photo album. Right now I'm converting a Star Trek Excelsior into a Shelly Class. I hope to have it done by the 20th for special reasons. Smile [:)] As soon as I get my web page (Mass Illusion) organized & the dozens of pictures scanned, I'll post a link.
My last project was a Kodiak Class starship, from the Jackill designs, if you know them. Check out naplak's Model Contest. Click on the Sci-Fi catagory. I got 2nd! Big Smile [:D]

Talk to you soon!
