Hello everybody !!
Posted by mossieramm on Wednesday, September 17, 2003 6:13 AM
This is my first on a forum, even though I#8217;ve been around a while. I#8217;ve been modeling for about 25 years now. My main interests are 1/48th aircraft and 1/35th AFV. I used to build out of the box, but since a few years, thanks to the internet, I#8217;m starting to dabble with aftermarket stuff, such as PE. Which brings me to my question. I#8217;m building Tamiya#8217;s 1/48 Spitfire M1a. I bought a detail set and it includes a cockpit set and to be gentle, poor instructions. The instrument panel consists of two pieces. A piece of photo-film dials, and a piece of PE. The piece of photo-film dials goes on the back of the PE after it#8217;s been painted, but then what. Do I have to sand down the instrument panel from the model and the glue the PE and film to it or what ?? Thanks for any assistance.

Welcome to FSM mossieramm. Being just a lowly treadhead myself, I really can't offer any assistance with your problem. But if you ask this same question in the Aircraft Forum, I'm sure someone in there will be more than happy to help.
Enjoy the forums !

P.S. what's with all the #8217's
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

Welcome to the forums, mossieramm

Like Sherman said, you could probably get plenty of help in the Aircraft forum.

Welcome to FSM, but I have to agree with Robert, what's the deal with the #8217.

Welcome aboard! Try the aircraft site. You'll probably find your answers there.

Thanks for the welcomes. I don't know what the deal is with the 8217's. I must have used a key combination which is not recognised by this website. Live & learn as they say.
