Welcome to FSM John.

I too have never heard of the bleach after the oven cleaner. What is it supposed to do?

Anyways .... welcome ... I'm sure you're going to enjoy it here.

Welcome to the forums, John.

I have heard of using the oven cleaner for paint removal but never heard of using bleach. Is that step done after using the OC?

Hi,my name is John,
I enjoy building 1/72 scale U.S. military helicopters and modern fighter jets.Lately I've been redoing a lot of my older kits by stripping the paint with Mr.Muscle oven cleaner and washing down the aircraft with bleach.Airbrushing with Gunze sangyo paints, very pleased with the results -better than the old paint brush finish.

Regards,

John Yahl.
