Hello from the Bluegrass!
Posted by nebrnative on Saturday, March 24, 2007 2:48 PM
I have actually posted a couple of times already, but I thought it would be a good time to introduce myself. My first name is Brett and I have not built a kit in about 15-20 years. But during that time I have carried around about 200 kits through numerous moves. I am notorious for chasing butterflies, otherwords I get something started and before it is done I am off on another tangent so I have actually joined a couple of group builds for that accountability thing. My interest is always been associated with the off beat themes. Currently I am on a flying gas station bent, I am starting builds on a KC-135R and a KC-10a. Other subjects that I enjoy are Coast Guard (cutters and aircraft) and SAC subject matter. I come for a long line of flyers and my father was in SAC with the B-36. My path in life took me in another direction at the begging of my mother and in her defense she has lost a lot of family members in this nation's conflicts. But that does not mean that I can't admire and appreciate those who do make that choice.

Other interests include my dogs and horses. And have been know to collect 1/1250 ships and 1/400 aircraft diecast. Thrown in with a touch of NASCAR and work, there is not much time left. But anyway that is a enough of that. I appreciate this forum and the kick to get started to build again.

Thanks, BK

Welcome!! My grandfather and a lot of his family were from Menifee County, near Frenchburg so he mentioned Lexington from time to time.  I've only been to Florence and Milton myself.  Mom and I talk about making a "pilgramage" someday.

Tankers, huh?  Recently, I came across a 1/144 combo kit of an F-14 and a KA-6.  I hadn't heard of the KA-6 variant before and am rather fascinated by it now.  The tankers are the real grunts of the Air Force.  They don't get enough credit.
