I can't believe it! I finally found what I have NOT been looking for to pick up where I left off almost 20 years ago.
I have been considering taking up scale modeling again since my two teen kids are almost independent and don't need me fussing them that much nowadays. I have been hunting high and low for a meaningful aircraft to kick-start and in order to stay committed, I wanted an aircraft with a proven battle record. On my mind is either a B29 (Enola Gay only) or B52 (Vietnam service) but both were either in 1/72th (too big?) or 1/144th (too small?), hence my hesitation.
Wandered into this hobby shop today and staring back at me was a Tamiya 1/100th B52D screaming - buy me! And I did. (and I honestly didn't know they come in this scale)
I am really looking forward to this but hopefully don't make the mistake of rushing into it and bombing it. Any tips will be most welcome and hopefully I can post the finish product here.
