to know what i am like you must see an episode of AMERICAN IDOL i am Simon.

i should say i am the Simon of the modeling world, blunt to the point of borderline obnoixous

i mostly model out of the box with maybe a pc of wire or string here and there.

i build anything. as i see many of you do "research" i don't i just follow the kits inst

i keep two to four models in the draw at any givin time based on the decal/paint options of the kit.  Meaning that if i buy a spitfire and the  kit has three paint and decal choices then i buy three finish them the go out and buy my next build(s)

buying from my local hobby shop only

i see many people with postings into the thousands here i only come here one day a week to see what is new. the rest of my time  i build

Wecome to the forum, I think...To each their own in their modeling style, what works for one may not for another. I like building OOB too from time to time just as a break from the more tedious builds but when I want a truely accurate model, I do my research.  But tell me, what makes you so great?

Personally, I like to read the username and think of myself, even though my models aren,t nearly as good as some of you, I still like to read it "I am the greatest modeler" "I am the greatest modeler" "I am the greatest modeler" I like that!Cool [8D]

I suppose it makes a change from listening to those Idol hope-fuls all the time.

Anyhow, if you really are the infamous Simon from American Idol, then I wellcome you.

Take care. Cowboy [C):-)]
