Please allow me to introduce myself
Posted by Azgaron on Saturday, July 7, 2007 8:14 AM

Hi everybody!

I'm 47 and from Sweden. I've been building models about a year now since my return from my 10+ years absence. I like to build most things and most scales, but recently, due to spreading myself to much and starting to many builds Smile [:)], I've restrained myself a bit (or at least try to). So now I'm mostly building planes (WWII and modern fighter jets) in 1/72 and 1/48.

Recently I bought Airfix 100 years of flight, and are almost done with the Spitfire and Gloster Meteor. I've decided to build the kits in the box ootb, just to for once feel that I get something done. Accidently my camera broke, so I can't show any decent pics yet. Unless my cell phone camera will do. Btw I someone has the instructions to the E.E. Lightning, I'll be very greatful for a copy.

Regards

Azgaron

Welcome aboard to the forum Azgaron Sign - Welcome [#welcome] I never did get around to purchasing the Airfix lightning but you might try contacting Airfix if they're still in business?? And ask for a replacement set of instructions. I have always had excellent customer service with those folks whenever I needed to replace a missing/broken part or decal sheet. Good luck on the build and looking forward to seeing pics of your works here in the future.

Thanks!

It don't look like Airfix is up and running yet, but I know they used to have excellent service. I got instructions and decals free of charge once. They used to have Pdf-files too.

I'll see if I can borrow a decent camera so I can show what I'm working with.

Thanks! It's nice to be back to the hobby, although it's a year now. The big difference; except for being older, is that I got a lot more builds going on now than then Smile [:)] Luckily I'm not alone Smile [:)]
