Happy to see so many modelers online!
Posted by BraileScale-Freak on Sunday, July 8, 2007 8:59 PM

Hello!,

I'm 53yrs old and live out here in southern California Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] a short distance away from my favorite hobby shop.  I enjoy modeling in all scales and subjects, however I tend to prefer small scale modeling (1/72nd).  The biggest obsticle for me at this time is to be able to finish anything that I start building.  I sure enjoy viewing through the many galleries of completed models online from so many people all over the world participating in the same hobby.

I hope that I also will someday finish a model with the same attention to details as those modelers online to submit one to share with all of you too!

Welcome to the forums! If 1/72 is your thing and you have any 1/72 Russian armor in your stash, there's a Group Build currently underway with that topic. Could be a great way to meet some of the guys here, pick up a few pointers, and share what you can do. If you prefer armor of a different nature or aircraft, there are plenty of other Group Builds that you might find appealling.

Welcome to the forum! What hobby shop are you near? it wouldn't be Brookhurst hobbies would it? That was my favorite when I was stationed at El Toro yrs ago.

Scott,

I live in the San Fernando Valley.  The closest Hobby shop is Smith Brothers Hobbys.  I do however frequent Brookhurst hobbies whenever I take my wife to visit with friends in "Little Siagon".

Mike,

Thank you for letting me know about a Group Build.  Sounds great!  Now I'll just have to navigate my way over to that topic.
