Sign - Welcome [#welcome] highly creative and cryptic Dan!! If you wanna build models, you've come to the right place. You'll find a lot of knowledgeable people on this site.

Where is Smith, NV? I lived in Carson City and South Lake Tahoe for a year or so.

Again, welcome and, in case I forget on the 22nd, Happy B-Day [bday]!!

Hi There!

Hi, I'm Dan (most of you probably got that from my highly creative and cryptic screen name).  I'm a civil engineer from Smith, Nevada.  I'm 41 on August 22 and married with two boys.  I used to model as a kid, mainly cars and model trains.  Have been into trains as an adult on and off and have quite a collection of N-scale rolling stock, but no layout...yet.

Over the past few years I have become very intersted in WWII and it hit me recently that one way to channel that would be to build scale models and/or dioramas.  Not only will it give me something constructive to do, but I have an excuse to buy more stuff!  Anyway, I am impressed with the quality of the projects on this site and have been inspired.  Look forward to talking with everyone on the forum.
