Welcome aboard, chinamodeler! Smile [:)] I'm over here near J-Hulk but my local is closer to Tokyo. I'm at NAF Atsugi and no, I have not yet picked up the Trumpeter Hornet (yet)! I am sure that you will enjoy this site very much! There are quite a few "Treadheads" in here so you should feel right at home! - Calvin Clown [:o)]

Welcome chinamodeller,

A lot of chinese made kits make their way here. They're very cheap but I agree, the fit is quite terrible.

See you around.

Wo bu-shi Zhong-guoren. Wo shi meiguoren le. (No, I'm not Chinese. I am American!) 100% American & very proud to be a citizen of the greatest country on earth! (music fades) I'm just a businessman working this end of the globe, who absolutely loves modeling! Hello to the serviceman in Osaka, J-hulk, tiger-holic and all you other talented modelers! I will work on posting some of the creativity that I've found here in China. The small shop I mentioned that I found has some really good pieces! I'm developing "Guanxi" (friendship) with the folks there hoping that they will let me take lots of pics to post. They have a few display cases there that they display work in. Anyway, I'll try to keep abreast of what goes on in this part of Asia. L8R.

Ni hao! Wo shi J-Hulk! Ni shi Zonguoa-ren ma?
(Howdy! I'm J-Hulk! Are you Chinese?) It's been so long since I studied Chinese...

Welcome, Chinamodler! I'm right across the Sea of Japan (or Sea of China, depending on where you're from!) from ya, in Osaka, Japan. It'll be great getting another perspective from Asia! With Shanghai Dragon, Panda, Mini Hobby Models, and other brands putting out the bulk of exciting and surprising kits these days, hopefully you can keep us informed of what's going on!

Looking forward to seeing you in the forums!

I'm not a new modeler but I am a new member to FSM.com. I am here in the beautiful city of Kunming, China. It is in the southwest province of Yunnan. (About 75 miles from Vietnam) Iam working with a U.S. export co. called World Classics Inc. Are there any other China modelers out there? Incidently models here are very easy to find, as the Chinese have a great interest in tediously detailed puzzles and such. The prob is most of them aren't good quality manufactured kits. (Parts fitting is a nightmare) But "Hallelujah" about 2 months ago I found a little hobby shop tucked away in a remote area and they had Tamiya and Verlinden! So I have been there frequently and you should see some of their finished products! Pretty Good!
My main item of interest in modeling is armor of all types, figures and diorama building. Last piece completed was Tamiya's 1/16 scale figure series of a German machine
gunner. Currently working on German Pak 40 & figures to put on a Verlinden base. Well, Guess I'll shutup for now. L8R.
