what's happening
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, October 11, 2003 11:12 PM
what's happening everyone? my name is sam,I'M a semi old guy who can remember paying 4 or 5 bucks for a big plastic model back in the 70's.my favorite thing is ww2 fighters and the sometime strange aircraft.I usually work in 1/48th scale although I do 1/72nd once in a while.my other love is music,i play blues ,hard rock, and all kinds of rock and folk guitar.the biggest problem I have is space for all these planes.besides building I also like to collect metal and plastic planes.oh yeah, does anyone have an extra canopy for a monogram 1/48th zero?got this thing cheap but lost the damn canopy.I'm planning on making it look like a captured zero tested in the states.see ya

Welcome to the forum, Sam. We got a few things in common here. I'm semi-old (48), I build 1/48 WW II aircraft, and I was a sound engineer for 20+ years, doing mostly hi-power (5-10,00 watt) hard rock. Sorry I can't help you on the canopy. All my Zekes are Hasegawa, & they only give you 1 canopy. Did you try checking www.squadron.com for a vac replacement ?
Good luck, I'll see you over at the aircraft pages. Have fun !

Hiya Sam,
1/48 scale American, WWII aircraft? That's very interesting. I, too am into these magnificent warbirds! I'm from Texas and know a little bit about the blues. Who are some of you favorite artists?
