Jeff, welcome to FSM. Glad to have you here. You'll find that there are a number of us who, like you, took a hiatus from modelling and got back in the swing of things. Looking forwards to your posts.

Welcome to the forum family, Jeff. Your interests are varied, and it's always good to have another Navy vet join in. Now, if we could just get you interested in armor....

Welcome to FSM. That sounds like a great range of modeling intertests. I'm looking forward to seeing your posts.

Hey all, my name is Jeff and as you guessed it, i'm new. I've been modeling off an on for about 20 years. My first model was a Mirage 2000 and my last one which i just finished is a F9F-5 Panther. I recently got back into modeling after taking a 10 year break. up until recently the last model i made was when i was in Navy. The F-14 Tomcat is my favorite model, as its my favorite airplane, and as you have probably guessed it, thats what i worked on in the Navy. I got laid off from work at the end of March of this year, and i have been wanting to get back into modeling, and figured since i had some time on my hands i would start to model again. Right now i'm primarily working on military and soon to be civilian aircraft. I have done cars in the past, and have at least 20 corvette models in a box in the garage (no place to display them). I'm really looking forward to reading the forums and learning new modeling techniques like weathering and etc...

Its great to finally have taken the first step by signing up.
