New to the forum, life-long modeler
Heh all,
This is a pretty cool forum FSM has designed for us, what a magazine! I've been modelling for over 20 years, introduced by my father. For the past 10 years I have favored 1/72nd scale modern military aircraft. For variety I enjoy building the classic warbirds of WWII, my favorite of the props being the legendary P-51 Mustang. I belong to the IPMS Roscoe Turner Chapter here in Indianapolis and have had models and tips featured in FSM. I have also won numerous awards for my models; thanks in large part to FSM and Kalmbach Publishing's great How-To books in the hobby. Unlike the old days when "professional modelers" would be very reluctant to share tips and tricks on how they achieved award-winning results on thier models, I love to share information. After all, it was Paul Boyer who helped me via email corespondance and ofcourse his famed work in FSM. I believe I have finally mastered certain skills in airbrushing and over-all finishing, but like everyone else, I faced with a head-scratching problem. I am however; cetain that with the skills I have learned over the years, I can now solve those problems with a all-to-often simple solution. So...I'm here to help, answer questions, and learn from you all as well!
