Let's see now--I've got every issue of Fine Scale Modeler from the very first (and some even in hard bound) and have been modeling on and off since age 9--anybody remember the Strombecker kits?? I concentrate mainly in 1/48 WW11 aircraft but since I'm a Korean war vet (RB-36's) I stretch a little further with F7F, F8F and will be building the P-59A Airacomet soon. I've won some contests with honorable mentions, third and second places but am still striving for the number one spot. One of the reasons I feel I haven't gotten that spot yet is because I'm STILL LEARNING and that is what makes this hobby so fascinating. Jack R.

Welcome, Jack!!
Good to have you here - I've got an idea - why not post some pictures of your contest place getters - we'd love to see them.
And I envy you for your complete collection of FSM - My collection only goes back to 1982 or so up to the current issue.
We all know much about modelling, but you're never too old or knowledgeable to learn from someone else.........all you gotta do is listen...........
Cheers mate

Nice of you to pop in Jack! This is the one place to ask questions and learn new stuff, but I'm sure your experience will be useful to us too. You're the first person I 'know' that ever flew in the B-36... Memories of the 1/72 Monogram kit... What a beast that was!

Looking forward to hearing from you soon again,

Domi

Many thanks for your welcomes-----and if I ever figure out how to transmit photos of some of my projects into the Forum you modelers will be responsible! In the meantime I did have some of my photos published in the Member Gallery some time back such as a Curtiss P-36,and a. SnJ/AT-6. Once again, thanks for the warm welcome!
