Hello Geezers!
I make full size clay models for the automotive industry.
I have worked all over this planet for most of the major car
companies. It's great to travel the world and get paid to sculpt
new car designs. It's strange now that I feel the need to get
back to the armor kits! I've been checking out lots of modeling
sites and I can't get over the attention to detail and quality
of finish. I remember that I would buy a kit and stick it together.
Well now it seems that you buy your kit and then you buy all the aftermarket bits and pieces... new track, new barrel, resin parts,
turned brass bit's, and don't even think of sticking anything to
anything until you have fully researched colour, finish, fit, and
the vehicles complete history! .... anyway I'm up for all of it.
The models we produce for the car industry cost millions,
but I'm more nervous about finishing my cromwell tank.
I want it to be perfect!

Hello Brit, Those clay mock-ups are neat. My Dad worked for GM for many years. First in Flint then at the GM Tech Center in Milford. He was in the Chassis Drafting Dept but has many friend in the styling depts. When I was young the fantastic clay mock-ups amazed me. Looking forward to your posts. Woody

Thanks for the great welcome, I feel at home already.
I was hooked a few months ago after buying Finescale Modeler. Great Magazine! ...It really inspired me to get back into scale models. It makes you want to improve your skills. I can feel some back issues heading my way!
