where to/how to give/donate built kits ?
Posted by ljouffret on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 4:14 PM

Hello everyone,

I'm a French guy who has been building kits in the USA for the past 3 years while at the university of Notre Dame. I will be moving back to France shortly though, and I'm looking for help in giving or donating the built model kits I have done whilst in the USA. The kits are all 1/48 WWII aircraft, done with my very moderate set of skills ! I am in the South Bend, IN, region, so if anyone has any idea where or to whom I can give what I have, that help would be greatly appreciated since I haven't got the slighest clue in where to start!

Thanks !

Allo!    Just thinking out loud, I'd suggest looking for a high school USAF JROTC program close by that might want them for their class room, possibly a veteran's hall (VFW), or even an hobby store if you can con the owner into taking them.

hope that helps.

Good idea. Along the lines of what Dre mentioned, try local and semi-local history museums, school history teachers, science teachers and science programs, etc
