Hi,
Sorry for the delay in getting everything together, but I finlly had a chance this holiday weekend to do a little digging around the house. I've got a box together to send you for now, that includes;
I also have a 1/500 scale Renwal USS Shngi-La, but it doesn't fit in the mailing box I have , plus a couple other models that I'm still trying to track down where I put the instructions, or box tops to. If I can find that stuff I can try and send the Shangri-La along with the rest of the kits later.
Best of luck with your project.
Pat
PS. Sorry for the fuzzy image
Bocks Suv The court will match it?? Hope they realize that kits thesedays range from $10-$900.

Name one kit that's running in the hundreds dollar range, unless you're talking about R/C kits. Kind of making it a bit of an overstatement for price ranges on plastic model kits aren't you? I'd say $10 - $100 is a safe range for kits depending on the brand and subject. Basic auto kits run anywhere from $20 - $25 range. Aircraft, armor, ships, sci-fi - prices varies by scale and brand.

If you get a FB acct under an organization name or something close you dont have to worry about regular FB activities affecting your social or work life. Not everyone who shows interest in donating will follow thru, so keep moving and asking around. Good luck.
Thanks for the input Bocks. I have had one person PM me so far to donate some kits. I will be able to get the court to match whatever I am able to collect so I am going to keep trying. Thanks for the tip on the FB pages. I dont have FB so I may need to make one. Thanks again!
You'd be shocked by the size of some guys' stashs of models they're never going to build. 3+ of the same kit. 1000s just gathering dust in basements and garages. Frankly, I think it's an illness. But I'm no saint.
I think you'd get some great results and participation by posting your request on several model builders Facebook pages. Describe the need and how the kids would get training, support, supplies and motivation. Kids today are so sucked into electronics, it's hard to get them away. I gathered a few hundred models for the Wounded Warrior Program in my area. As long as the kits are in good shape and provide a variety of sizes, challenge and subjects, you should stike a chord with some kids. Even girls get into it.
Good luck.
Hello everyone. I am currently a juvenile probation officer and I am going to try and start a program with the kids to teach them to model build. I think these kids really would benefit from some healthy activities in their lives. If you have any kits sitting around that are collecting dust shoot me a PM and I will give you shipping instructions. I will post some progress pics of whatever I get for the kids. Thanks in advance for your help!
