Hey Phil!!

My heartfelt thanks to you and all the folks at IPMS Salt Lake City!!  We really appreciate the kits, and the paints have greatly helped us in getting the models painted up.  And a special thanks to Ian for helping to organize and see this project through!!!

Take care, and again, my thanks!!

Captain Wallace, please contact me offline regarding some models I'd like to donate to our troops in the Middle East. Jeff Herne advised me this would be the best way to communicate.

Dave,
Just wanted to let you know that the IPMS/SLC club gathered a few donations for your group and they are on their way to you.
We are sending 6 kits, 7 magaizines and 34 jars of paint to help out a little.
Ian Andrews was the driving factor in this.  He always leads the charge for donations to a couple of local groups (Primary Children's Hospital and VA Hospital) and this year he got the club to agree to send a little package your way.
Stay safe,

Tall Afar Hobby Club Request

Greetings to everyone in the FineScale Modeler forum.

I am, by default and for lack of a better term, the hobby club manager, for the Fort Tall Afar Hobby Club, located in picturesque northern Iraq.  I requested some assistance from the folks at International Plastic Modelers Society, and the members there have been most generous in sending us kits.  Thank you IPMS!!!  We are still in desperate need of painting supplies.  We have a handful of paint brushes and a few basic acrylic colors but always welcome more.  We also work with an Iraqi army unit and would love to teach these guys how to build basic models.  So if anyone out there has any snap together models they can part with, they would also be greatly appreciated.  If there's anyone from Revell-Monogram out there, how about a special deal on some of your "Make-N-Take" box sets??

For operational reasons, I can't give you specific numbers of people, but anything received would be used by United States Army and Navy personnel, and our Iraqi Army soldiers. If anyone is interested in helping out, we'd greatly appreciate it!  To those of you that have already helped, THANK YOU!!!  from the bottom of our hearts!  I can be reached via email at: david.wallacejr@us.army.mil

Most Sincerely,

Dave Wallace
