I sent them two boxes of supplies back in February and MSgt Gonzalez was kind enough to send me photos of the very first model show they had managed to hold - impressive work considering what they have to work with! A female Army captain won best of show. He said they usually meet two nights a week and their "club" - more like a small corner of a very large room - has had a full house at times and is a lot of fun for the troops who can take advantage of it.
But - they run 100 percent on donations. Even if you can only spare a few kits and some acrylic paints, it can make a priceless addition to the life of one of the thousands of brave men and women who are over there standing in harm's way on our behalf. Shipping costs are very modest and it's amazingly fast. So go to your local hobby shop this weekend and fill up a box for our troops - you know you want to!
