Simplest way is to get five people together who are members of IPMS/USA and apply for a charter. I think the fee is now $20 a year. After the minimum of 5 members is met and any officers are IPMS/USA members, additional members need not be IPMS/USA members, though my club encourages that. Building and maintaining membership is the hard part.

I hate to say it, but I also have not had very good luck with IPMS.  Just not a very accepted individual I guess.

Why not start your own chapter?

There used to be a Champlain Valley Model club back in the early 90s...I went to one of their contests that was held at the Shelburne Elementary School, if I remember correctly.

Any hobby shops left up there? I used to live in Richmond.

There used to be a group, Upper Valley Modelers, in central Vermont for a while. I'll check around later today and see if I can find a contact. Other than that, you have the clubs in Plattsburg and Albany and mine in the Springfield MA area.

So....anyone know of any IPMS groups in or around Vermont?  I found one in New Hampshire, but that's a little far.  Just looking for some like minded folks around these parts.  Big Smile [:D]
