                        I was interested in going to the IL or WI Ipms shows this year.  Do you have to be a member of an IPMS chapter to enter the contest?

                        If at first you do succeed, try to hide your astonishment.

                        At local or regional contests you GENERALLY do not need to be an IPMS member in order to enter a model.   Membership IS required at the national level.  

                        As always, check with the sponsoring organization for specific entry requirements.

                        You do not need to be a member of an IPMS Chapter to enter any contest I'm aware of.  You do need to be a member of the national IPMS USA, or affiliated international IPMS organizations, to enter the Nationals.  However, many of the local Invitational & Regional contests do offer a small discount on entry fees for IPMS members.

                        I just reasearched it, and No, you don't have to belong to a chapter, but yes, you may get extra goodies, disconts, etc.

                        yeah fett man (and the rest) are correct. you do not need to be a member...just went to my first one a couple of weeks ago. i recommend you go...have a great time...it's worth it! Big Smile [:D]
